State – A two letter abbreviation for the state or territory.
ZipCode – A system of 5-digit codes that identifies each postal delivery area in the United States.
TaxRegionName. – The name of the tax region, which uniquely identifies a collection of state, county, city, and special sales taxes for a geographical area. One tax region may include multiple Zip Codes. These rates are not based on geolocation, which is much more accurate than rates based on ZIP codes, states or counties alone.
TaxRegionCode – A unique code for the tax region, used for reference purposes.
CombinedRate – The combined sales tax rate for state, county, city, and special sales taxes associated with a Zip Code.
StateRate – The portion of the tax region’s sales tax rate allocated to the state.
CountyRate – The portion of the tax region’s sales tax rate allocated to a county.
CityRate – The portion of the tax region’s sales tax rate allocated to a city.
SpecialRate – The portion of the tax region’s sales tax rate allocated to special taxing jurisdiction/s. Special taxing jurisdictions may include school districts, transit authorities, stadium zones, or any tax authority other than a state, county, or city.
