North Carolina sales tax rate changes, April 2017

 New sales tax rates coming to North Carolina in April 2017.

A local sales and use tax rate change is set to take effect in North Carolina on April 1, 2017.

Beginning April 1, Wake County will levy an additional 0.5 percent local sales and use tax, bringing the new combined sales and use tax rate to 7.25 percent. The additional tax will raise revenue for public transportation systems. Additional information.
